ARTIST STATEMENT
In my practice, I explore the relationship between humans and their environment. I am interested in how we interact with and affect the things around us, both physically and psychologically.
Working primarily with acrylic, spray paint, and oil, I create paintings that examine this relationship from different perspectives. Some works make visible the impact of human activity on the environment, while others create moments of uncertainty that encourage viewers to question their own perception. Together, they explore how perception shapes the way we understand and relate to the world around us.

2025- Absa L’Atelier Art & lifestyle Fair (Absa Gallery) Johannesburg, South Africa.
2025- Beyond the Surface (Curated by Windsor Art Gallery) – Turkish Embassy & Gallery space, Abuja, Nigeria. Showcased experimental works reflecting the importance of conservation.
2024- The Order of Decay (Solo Exhibition) – Alliance Française de Lagos, Nigeria. Explored environmental decay and human-induced climate change through surrealist compositions.
2024- After the War: A Disability Pride Art Exhibition (curated by 1952 Africa) – US Consulate, Lagos, Nigeria. Featured my paintings After the War I & II, which reflects on the consequences of war and its aftermath, exploring themes of survival, resilience, and societal reconstruction.
2024- Refuge in Community, Nomadic Art Gallery, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. (Lagos Biennial off-site Exhibition)
Artist Residencies:
2024- Rele young contemporaries Residency – Ekiti state, Nigeria. Developed the body of work “When You See the Greens,” which was presented to the Governor of Ekiti State, exploring ecological themes in Nigerian landscapes.
2023- 1952 Africa Art Residency – Lagos, Nigeria. Focused on conservation and environmental sustainability.
